  • quality studies
  • monthly scholarship to cover the costs of staying abroad
  • access to the latest technologies
  • international and multicultural environment
  • travelling possibilities
  • broadening horizons
  • life experience
  • better job perspectives upon returning home

Via Erasmus+ students can access the following opportunities:

1. International Credit Mobility (for Bachelor, Master, PhD students)

Who can benefit from it? Students enrolled at Moldovan accredited higher education institutions, regardless of the study cycle: Bachelor, Master or PhD. In case of mobility for studies, the student must be enrolled at least in the second year of higher education studies, in order to benefit of an Erasmus+ scholarship.

How does it work? Based on the partnerships between Moldovan and European universities. The list with up to date agreements can be found at the International Relations Department of the Higher Educations Institution (HEI) where the student is enrolled. It is a must for the mobility period to be integrated into the student's study program. Academic activities taken abroad will be fully recognized. It is mandatory for the student to come back to Moldova, graduate and obtain the diploma in his country.

How to apply? The student submits the application to the International Relations Office from the university where he/she is enrolled. The procedure, the list of necessary documents and the deadline may be also consulted with the International Relations Office. The conditions of application may differ depending on the clauses of the collaboration agreement between the partner universities.

How long? The overseas experience can last from 2 up to 12 months (24 months for students at medicine). The same student can benefit of multiple mobility periods during one study cycle, as long as they don't exceed the duration of 12 months.

Erasmus+ traineeships as well can last anywhere between 2 and 12 months.

What is the grant amount? Between 800 and 900 euro per month, depending on the host country, plus a unique contribution for travel, that is calculated based on the distance between the home and host institutions.

What mobility partnerships are available? Every year universities from Moldova sign new mobility partnership agreements with universities from Programme Countries. The list with up to date partnerships can be found at the International Relations Department of the Higher Educations Institutions (HEI) where the student is enrolled.

2. Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM)

Who can benefit from them? Young people from all around the world, holders of a Bachelor degree, are eligible. As an exception, the consortium of the Master programme can accept applications from students that are in the process of Bachelor graduation.

The programme offers integrated, high quality studies, with 60, 90 or 120 credits and joint or multiple diplomas (according to the rules of the program, established by the consortium).
