Education Days 2026: Erasmus+ for the Modernisation and Internationalisation of Education

The National Erasmus+ Office in Moldova participated, on 21–22 May, in Education Days 2026, organised by the Ministry of Education and Research, contributing to discussion panels dedicated to vocational education and training (VET) and higher education.

Within the event “Competitive and Inclusive Vocational Education and Training,” participants addressed the main reforms and development perspectives of the VET system in the Republic of Moldova. The discussions focused on the internationalisation of educational institutions, the development of dual education, and the strengthening of cooperation between educational institutions and the business sector. The Erasmus+ Programme was highlighted as an important tool for the modernisation and internationalisation of vocational education and training. Additionally, the Eurydice platform in the Republic of Moldova was presented, emphasizing its role in providing information and comparative analyses on European education systems and policies.

Furthermore, within the panel dedicated to the modernisation of higher education, representatives of universities and development partners discussed the transformation of the educational process, the internationalisation of universities, and the alignment of skills with the current demands of the labour market. Participants underlined the contribution of the Erasmus+ Programme to the development of international academic cooperation, mobility opportunities, and the exchange of best practices.

Education Days 2026 brought together teachers, experts, students, representatives of educational institutions, and the business community to discuss the priorities and transformations of the education system in the Republic of Moldova.
