"Information Day", the campaign dedicated to youth, a big success

National Erasmus+Office in Moldova concluded the information campaign, dedicated to youth and students interested in european studies. This year "Information Day" was organized, for the first time in Moldova, separately for youth. The campaign was held, during the month of September, in 4 locations all over the country – Comrat, Cahul, Chisinau and Balti and was organized by National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) in Moldova.

Aproximatly 600 young people from all over the country found out about the two study opportunities they can benefit from – short term mobility for those who are already enrolled in a Moldovan Higher Education Institution and Joint Master and Doctoral Degree scholarships, available for those who want a full degree abroad.

Erasmus+ Moldova's team went in Comrat and Cahul on September 17th, in Chisinau on September 22nd and Balti on the 29th of September to talk to ex, actual or future students about European Union's Programme for Education, Training, Youth and Sport 2014-2020.

The audience was very actively involved. Students showed interest especially in practical aspects of the Erasmus+ Programme - what does a scholarship cover, which documents are required for application or how advanced must the knowledge of a foreign language be. Some of the questions were answered by the representatives of the Departments for International Relations of universities, which were also present at the events.

The national campaign "Information Day" was organized by NEO - the official representative in Moldova (on the higher education dimension) of EU's Programme for Education, Training, Youth and Sport 2014-2020. The event aimed to popularize the programme and encourage young people to apply for Erasmus+scholarships. A similar event will be organized for Moldovan Higher Education Institutions during the month of October.

Starting from 2004 till 2014 around 1000 (a thousand) students and academic staff from Moldova benefited of mobilities: scholarships, teaching, training activities or study visits through Erasmus+ Programme.
